Do Not Undervalue Play

Some parents underestimate playful activities like neighborhood basketball team for the local, the church choir, or the summer art class. They think that it is a waste of time (sometimes money too) and that their children will not learn much there.

Aside from topping the other intelligences, extracurricular activities also develop desirable attitudes and values. There is the value of teamwork, adventure, balance, and authenticity.

Authenticity means being true to one self and doing what one really likes.
